NEKYIA BLUE ECOVERO SHORT SLEEVE SHIRT LIMITED EDITION of 100

This dream drawing is framed by a pulsating border and is made using coloured pencils on black paper. The image is brought to life with emerald greens, turquoise blue, deep reds and the striking touch of luminescent white. Holding an intricate web of invented language and a secret, personal symbology, it looks at death, sex, life, rebirth and a world in-between worlds.

Strange spirits, entities and sea creatures intertwine and rise from the depths of the unknown, they bubble-up and breathe in the stars. A living system is experiencing a cyclical dance and as it resonates with vibrant mystery, it speaks to the mysterious.

C. G. Jung used the concept of Nekyia as an integral part of his analytical psychology: “Nekyia is introversion of the conscious mind into the deeper layers of the unconscious psyche”. For Jung, the Nekyia is no aimless or destructive fall into the abyss, but a meaningful katabasis ... its object is the restoration of the whole.
